Hurricane Carlotta
Hurricane Carlotta

MISR took these pictures of Hurricane Carlotta on June 21, 2000. On this day, winds within the hurricane reached 155 miles per hour. Hurricane Carlotta was the second strongest eastern Pacific June hurricane on record. The top picture was taken by MISR's camera that looks straight down. The middle and bottom pictures are in 3-D. They were created using two or more of MISR's cameras. You must look at the picture through red/blue glasses (red filter over the left eye) to see it in 3-D.
